About Dr. Vance Anderson

Your partner in workplace health services

Dr. Vance Anderson, MD, CCFP, ACBOM, is a certified occupational medicine specialist with extensive experience in high-compliance industries such as aviation, commercial diving, marine and transportation. Known for his proactive approach to patient care, Dr. Anderson goes above and beyond to help workers navigate complex medical requirements and maintain their ability to work.

After earning his MD and completing a residency in family medicine from Dalhousie University, Dr. Anderson moved to St. George, N.B., where he opened a family practice that became a cornerstone of the community’s health care needs.

Specialization in occupational medicine

In 2015, Dr. Anderson established his family medicine practice in Saint John, specializing in occupational medicine to support workers across the city’s diverse industries.

As an experienced family physician, Dr. Anderson is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, promoting wellness and ensuring the highest standards of occupational medicine. He received his training in occupational medicine through the University of Alberta and presently serves corporate clients in New Brunswick in industries including aviation, offshore services, railway, aquaculture and commercial transportation.

Commitment to workplace & community health

Dr. Anderson’s dedication to community and workplace health extends beyond his clinic. He serves as the Medical Advisor for the Southern New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program, where he offers expert guidance on community-based health care services.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Anderson is an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Dalhousie University and is affiliated with the Saint John Regional Hospital.

His passion for lifelong learning and his commitment to helping workers thrive make him a trusted partner in occupational medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Anderson enjoys hiking, gardening, kayaking, showshoeing and spending quality time with his wife and business partner, Chantal, and their two dogs, Bailey and Lucie.
